INTRODUCTIONS
Hello! You may know me commonly by SLEEPY, G, or GRANDMA - or any combination of the previous nicknames used together - and I use SHE/THEY/ANY pronouns. I roleplayed URSA in the campaign THE PARADISE EFFECT, and have been a member of the Warrior Cats community as a whole for 15+ years. I was the long-time owner of a Warrior Cats website known as YOWLRP until its closure, and have founded several roleplay projects such as THE LONG DARK and COLD BRIGHT LIGHTS on deviantART.
After participating in the first few chapters of the ongoing THE PARADISE EFFECT, run by the amazing gamemaster, FOX, I decided to try my hand at a paradise-mechanic campaign.
This campaign, STOPPING TOMORROW, is based on one of my favorite genres of media: COSMIC HORROR, along with various nods to ANALOG HORROR. My muse is primarily drawn from the works of ANNIHILATION (2018), COLOUR OUT OF SPACE (1927), THE THING (1982), BLOODBORNE (2015), and many more. You may find little love notes and references to their influence and inspiration throughout the campaign.
GRATITUDES
I want to first say thank you to the wonderful, kind and creative, FOX. Introducing me to the intricacies of a paradise-style campaign and its mechanics, allowing me to be part of such a wonderful community, and giving me the opportunity to moderate in THE PARADISE EFFECT has given me the surge of inspiration to run my own campaign. I am so grateful to have met you, and get to experience your compassion, your support, and your talent for building unique worlds and stories firsthand. And a second thank you for giving me your blessing to utilize TPE mechanics (you too NARL and OKIBI, don't think you're getting away from me) and offer your support and feedback on this journey.
To those involved in PARADISE TRIALS and PARADISE RISING, especially, DAWN, KENNA and CALSTAN, for bringing paradise-style mechanics to life, and granting others the public domain to utilize the ideas and work you have put into these projects.
I want to also thank those in THE PARADISE EFFECT, like members such as ANGIE, ASHER, and SOPH, for being my sounding board of campaign ideas and offering excitement and feedback, along with your general presence that has improved my life tenfold. And another thank you to ANGIE for inadvertently giving me ideas as we play Minecraft and Don't Starve. And NARL again for bringing the art of a unique world to life in a way that inspires my muse.
And to my best pals, ALEX and VELV, who have offered nothing but love and support and willingness to take part in every one of my projects, even the ones that never panned out. You both are my moon and stars, and I hope you feel the adoration and gratitude I have in knowing both of you throughout this campaign, whether you are active participants in the storyline or just listening to me scream about it through DMs.
