Some claim to have a sensitivity to see things beyond the ordinary; manifestations of the after, or perhaps a world parallel to our own, appearing in the corners of their vision as blurry apparitions.

 

These spirits are always, and dauntingly, silent. They do not interact, instead warbling shadow-like figures that seem to roam endless and restless. Only occasionally may they appear to be standing static-still and staring long, despite being faceless, at the cat looking back at them, but never do they touch or speak.

Even when they appear in nightmares.

 

There are those born with the ability to see them naturally, and some still who gain it only later on - after a great loss or trauma, or through experiences with death in other ways. Some mediums feel that they appear more during times of heightened emotions or stress, and their posture and agitated pacing reflects the feelings of those watching them.
