LEVELING

With each new level earned, each character becomes stronger and more honed in the powers granted by the color of their unique Soul; this unlocks new abilities, along with a +1 boost to a stat of player's choice, granting an extra five (5) stat bonuses earned through the campaign by leveling alone.

 

As you level, the more absolute and universal of Level Zero (0) abilities begins to change with Player interpretation, allowing imagination to affect how these powers look and express themselves as your Character uses them. (ex. A Red Soul's lightning being a different color than standard yellow.)

 

Leveling can also be handled at the Player's discretion, and how it fits into their Character's narrative and personality. If you wish for certain in-character effects of these abilities to be postponed, because perhaps your Character is overcoming a mental obstacle before obtaining it, or any other reason, that is absolutely welcome. Just because a power is there, does not mean it must be used or even known by your Player Character until you are ready.

Every Player Character will start STOPPING TOMORROW as a Level Zero (0), with several abilities to level up throughout the campaign during the campaign if a ten (10) post criteria (or more) is met within the duration of each ongoing Chapter.

 

If you are unable to meet this ten (10) post criteria during an ongoing Chapter, there is still a way to level-up your Player Character during the following Downtime(s). Similar to in The Paradise Trials, there will be prompts revealed at the beginning of every Downtime that can be answered with artwork or literature to level up.

These prompts will appear below as they are unlocked after the campaign begins.
